Smyrna — Medicare planning is often confusing, and it is hard to know where to turn for answers.
As part of its commitment to Rutherford County residents, StoneCrest Medical Center will provide a free Medicare plan seminar and brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. Open enrollment for Medicare plans begins on Nov. 15 and runs through Dec. 31 for 2010.
“Older adults are impacted each year by changes to Medicare plans,” said Mark Sims, chief executive officer at StoneCrest. “With the onset of open enrollment for Medicare plans this month, we wanted to reach out to our community and provide them an opportunity to get their questions answered.”
Donna Smith, director of patient access at StoneCrest Medical Center, will provide information and answers to questions on the 2010 plan changes.
This seminar will be beneficial for Medicare beneficiaries, individuals nearing the age of eligibility, professionals in the field of aging services, and family members and care givers.
Donald Patterson M.D. will also provide important information on vitamin D deficiency among seniors.
