Smyrna – TriStar Medical Group is expanding with two new family physician offices in Murfreesboro, Blackman Family Physicians and TriStar Medical Group Family Physicians.

Blackman Family Physicians is currently accepting new patients at their Old Fort Parkway location and TriStar Medical Group Family Physicians will begin accepting patients in August at their Medical Center Parkway location.

Peter Cobb, M.D., Chief of Staff at StoneCrest Medical Center, is currently providing patient care at TriStar Medical Group practices, StoneCrest Family Physicians in Smyrna and Blackman Family Physicians in Murfreesboro. Dr. Cobb will provide patient care at TriStar Medical Group Family Physicians when the practice opens in August.

Mark Sims, CEO at StoneCrest Medical Center, said “through extensive market studies, we’re able to identify geographic areas where a need for primary healthcare exists.” “We’re eager to expand primary care office locations to these areas in order to provide convenient access to healthcare.” “I am excited about the opportunity to lead this Murfreesboro area expansion initiative,” said Dr. Cobb.
