SMYRNA – StoneCrest Medical Center announced Tuesday the election of two new members to their Board of Trustees. Both members will serve three-year terms. Mark Dickinson, M.D., physician on staff at StoneCrest, was elected to the Board. Dickinson specializes in urology and is affiliated with Urology Associates, P.C. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dickinson is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Tony Dover, mayor of the city of Smyrna, was also elected to the board. These distinguished community members join Gary Singer, Peter Cobb, Mike Steck, Ed Gumucio, Richard Huddleston, Mary Esther Reed, Tom Clark, and Warren McPherson, Mark Sims, and Shannon Richardson in service on the Board of Trustees for the medical center. The Board of Trustees is responsible for providing oversight to the hospital, advice and support in facilitating the establishment of policies, maintaining quality patient care, and providing for institutional management and planning, all in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the community.
