A burst steam pipe forced the evacuation of a residence hall on MTSU campus last night.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at Deere Hall when steam from a burst pipe triggered fire alarms, MTSU Director of Special Media Projects Lisa Rollins confirmed.
“The necessary repairs were made to the steam line last night and no further action is needed today,” Rollins said. “All systems are functioning normally.”
Firefighters reported to the scene, but there was no actual fire as reported by our news partners at WSMV News Channel 4.
