St. Rose School is holding a ceremony on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. to rededicate its flagpole.
After the recent completion of the St. Rose School expansion, the flagpole was moved to a location closer to the new addition and the athletic fields.
St. Rose School is rededicating the flagpole in honor of the veteran’s of St. Rose Parish with appreciation for their service to our country.
All veterans in St. Rose Parish are invited to attend the flag ceremony which will include Girl Scout and Boy Scout Color Guards, music, a blessing, and finally the raising of the American flag for the first time at this new location.
Immediately following the outdoor ceremony, the St. Rose Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will host a reception in the Jo Call Room for all veterans in attendance.
“It is a special day for our students to celebrate the contributions American veterans have made to our country and to thank God for the freedom to celebrate our country’s historic past,” said new principal Sister Marie Hannah.
St. Rose of Lima Catholic School serves 320 students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade and is staffed by the Dominican Sisters of Nashville.
