Special Kids recently recognized Eddie Davis, owner of Davis Construction and Gas World, as the organization’s top individual investor in 2010.

The Special Kids Major Investor Appreciation Dinner was held on February 3, at Carriage Lane Inn where Davis and 27 other individuals were recognized for their giving of $500 or more in 2010.  Last year, Davis invested $10,000 in Special Kids and was also inducted into the Lifetime Giving Club, which recognizes investors for the total amount of life-time investments of $25,000 or more.

“We are truly humbled by Mr. Davis’s investment in our organization and are very appreciative of his efforts to join us in our mission to serve Jesus Christ by caring for His children,” said Noel Deal, Director of Major Investors for Special Kids.

As the top investor, Davis received an original piece of artwork created by one of the children in the Art Therapy program at Special Kids.  Davis will also receive four seats at the Special Kids Friendraiser Banquet in August as well as a Golf Team in the 12th Annual Special Kids Golf Classic on May 12.

“Special Kids means the whole world,” said Davis.  “It brightens up my life, and I love investing in the kids.”

Davis hopes that his giving will inspire others to become Major Investors at Special Kids. In 2010, a total of 95 Major Investors contributed more than $126,000 to the organization.  For more on the Major Investor program at Special Kids, please contact Noel Deal at 615.893.4892 or ndeal@specialkidstn.com.
