The city of Murfreesboro was informed this morning that the traffic signal at Middle Tennessee Boulevard and South Church Street was, and still is, malfunctioning.
The light is only giving green lights to approaches going away from the railroad tracks, because of a faulty CSX warnings at the railroad crossing on Middle Tennessee Boulevard just east of the intersection.
Some drivers are waiting many cycles for a green, so motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
The city has no direct control over these crossings. CSX has been notified about the problem and how it is affecting the traffic signals at that intersection.
