Justus: The fact IS that he beat his mother with the likely intent to kill her. There are those who know other FACTS about the family that don't justify the son's actions. So why don't you just go with the FACT that we know; that a 45 year old man almost beat to death his 81 year old mother. Save the look into the past for the trial while Mrs. Van Blarcom fights for her life.
