Smyrna police searching for missing teen

Police are asking the public for help in locating a teenage boy who disappeared last week from his father’s home in Smyrna.

Authorities are looking for 17-year-old Christian Laymon, who they believe may be in the company of his non-custodial mother. He was last seen Dec. 15 at his home, according to a Smyrna Police Department press release.

“We have information that he is with his mother, Karen Konstantynowicz, whose last known address is in Portland, Tenn.,” Chief Kevin Arnold said. “Our last information has Christian somewhere in Sumner County.”

Laymon is described as a white male, 5 feet tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, and he has a scar on his upper lip.

Konstantynowicz is described as a white female who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and she has dark hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Laymon is urged to call Lt. Jeff Duke, a detective with the Police Department, at 615-459-6644.
