Smyrna Police need info on business vandalism | Vandalism

A white male who drives a dark colored PT Cruiser has been throwing ball hitches through windows of businesses in Smyrna, causing damage, the police spokesman reported.

CTP and Larin companies make the hitches, spokesman Sgt. Bobby Gibson reported.

“We believe the ball hitches were taken by the suspect from a business that may be a part of the finishing process required for the ball hitches before they are completed and distributed to retailers,” Gibson reported. “They were probably taken from a company that performs a type of plating process on the ball hitches.”

All of the vandalisms occurred between 11 p.m. Sept. 27 and 12:30 a.m. Sept. 28. The suspect vandalized Gil's Ace Hardware, Rockin' Chair Cafe, K-Mart, ProBuild, Krystal and McClain Automotive.
