One suspect listed May 30 on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Most Wanted List and his accomplice were apprehended Friday by Rutherford County Sheriff’s patrol deputies.
 
Suspect Donald Powell, 38, and accomplice Alyssa Cartwright, 36, of McMinnville, were wanted for allegedly trying to break into a home while a mother and three small children were inside their Williamson County residence May 25, TBI reported.
 
Working with the U.S. Marshals and TBI agents, Sgts. Chris Kauffman and Derek Oeser and Deputies Todd Hammond and A.J. Ross arrested Powell, Cartwright and companion Robert Strube, 36, during a traffic stop Friday afternoon on Interstate 24 near Smyrna.
 
TBI reported Powell has violated his probation on six counts of burglary and theft over $1,000. Powell is a convicted felon has a previous arrest history that dates back to 1994 and includes numerous arrests for burglary, theft, evading arrest, joy riding and probation violation throughout the Middle Tennessee region.
 
Cartwright is wanted for violating her probation and was recently released from jail for a previous burglary offense. She is also a convicted felon who has a criminal history that includes theft, burglary, vandalism, domestic assault, worthless checks and numerous drug charges.
 
Deputies took the three suspects to Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where Powell and Cartwright were released to Williamson County deputies. Strube was released to Sumner County deputies where he was wanted on unrelated charges.
