Alpha Omicron Pi at Middle Tennessee State University announced the 14th annual AOII “Smoke Out Arthritis” barbeque to benefit the organization’s international philanthropy: Arthritis Research and Juvenile Arthritis Research.
The barbeque will take place from 3:30-6 p.m. Thursday at MTSU’s Walnut Grove. Tickets are $7 in advance or at the gate. The fundraiser will be occurring before the MTSU vs. Western Kentucky blackout football game and will include a silent auction.
Through the efforts of the Arthritis Foundation as well as collegiate and alumnae chapters, Alpha Omicron Pi has been able to provide grants to fund research for treatments, causes, and cures of Arthritis. Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States, affecting nearly one in three adults, half of which are women.
The Rho Omicron Chapter has been recognized both on the collegiate and national levels for its contribution to the Philanthropy. |
