Six Recruits graduate police academy; Eight complete orientation, begin training | police, graduates

The Murfreesboro Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of six police officers from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. Recruit Officers Landon Beirnes, Bryan Burubeltz, Eric Renfroe, Darryl Sanders, Evan Sharp, and Ben Weatherford successfully completed the ten week Basic Police School. The new officers will now complete the field training program in which they will ride with a training officer and be evaluated for eight more weeks.

Today, the most recent class of police recruits also completed the MPD Police Officer orientation class. Recruit Officers Eric Barton, Kyle Frazier, Jay Green, Skyler Harris, and Brad Williams will attend the next Basic Police School. Recruit Officers Brittany Frazier, Kurt Moore, and Dwanna Shelton will begin the fifteen week Field Training and Evaluation Program, supervised by FTEP Sergeant Justin Lemanski.

Chief of Police Glenn Chrisman stated: “These offices are to be commended for their accomplishments at the Training Academy and for representing our City and Department with excellence and professionalism. We welcome the new officers to the MPD and share their excitement to begin a rewarding career serving the Murfreesboro community.”
