Movies Under the Stars returns for another family-fun summer beginning Monday, June 1.

Continuing with tradition, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation will hold “Movies Under the Stars” for the 62nd year.

“Movies Under the Stars” has been a time-honored tradition for families with PG-rated movies and relaxation under the night sky throughout the city of Murfreesboro.

The movies begin at 8:30 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, June 1 through July 26.

Bring lawn chairs, blanket and picnic and enjoy the show. Concessions will be available.

Part of the fun is figuring out which movies are playing each week. There are your hints:

Week of June 1: Central Park Zoo animals that end up in Africa.

Week of June 8: After her father's ship is carried off by a sudden storm, this spunky girl is stranded with her horse.

Week of June 15: This hilarious sequel to another smash hit finds these dads in another kid-harried adventure as they take over a summer day camp.

Week of June 22: A touching, warm-hearted, humorous, sweet little movie about a friendly ghost.

Week of June 29: A family befriends a Sasquatch (a.k.a. Bigfoot) and brings the friendly monster's oversized, hairy self into their home.

Week of July 6: An animated feature that goes behind the scenes of the high-octane world of competitive penguin surfing.

Week of July 13: A loveable but mysterious exotic pet brought home from Chinatown becomes the source of a slew of miseries for an American suburb.

Week of July 20: A remake about a group of poor neighborhood children and the adventures they had together.

Schedule:
Mondays: Old Fort Park (1025 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro 37129)
Tuesdays: Cannonsburgh Village (312 S. Front Street, Murfreesboo 37129)
Thursdays: Siegel Neighborhood Park (515 Cherry Lane, Murfreesboro 37129)
