On Saturday, Oct. 27, two student organizations from Siegel High School will hold the second annual Fall Marketplace for a Cure and Prevention of Cancer from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by members of the Future Business Leaders of America and DECA, a management and marketing organization for high school students, and it will be held at the Siegel High, located off West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.
Vendors will be selling handmade items of jewelry and hand-painted ornaments outside of the theater and gymnasium hallway, and direct sales representatives from Jaci’s Jewels, Pampered Chef, and others will also be in attendance for event.
In addition to the retail booths, the fall marketplace will include information booths on health-related topics, various cancer treatments and organizations that assist cancer patients.
Blood Assurance will also be on site to hold a blood drive and bone marrow registry. All donors will be put in a drawing for a great prize.
Admission to the Fall Marketplace is free, but donations will be accepted at various booths.
Proceeds from the booth rental fees will go toward both student organizations in order to finance upcoming state competitions.
