JORDAN, Shirley Temple, age 73, a resident of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Hickman, KY., died Aug. 30, 2010, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Services are as follows: Friday, September 3, 2010 at Scales & Sons Funeral Home, 318 E. State Street, Murfreesboro, TN, lie-in-state from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and visitation from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Anointed Church of the Living God, 1211 S. Miles Ave., Union City, TN, 2nd lie-in-state from 12 noon – 1 p.m. and funeral at 1 p.m. Interment will follow there at East View Cemetery.
She was born June 29, 1936 in Hickman, KY, daughter of the late Georgia Modley and Clay Brown. She was employed at the Slant Slant Sewing Factory for 25 years. She married Thomas James Jordan and they resided in Murfreesboro, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean Hampton, Diane Stockard, Ollie Mae Jordan, Janice Ruth Jernigan, Sharon Lynn Jordan; sons, Roy Lester Jordan, James Edward Jordan and Henry Lee Jordan; 7 sisters; 7 brothers; 19 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
