From the RCSO:

Currently the Rutherford County Sheriff’s office is investigating a sexual misconduct claim alleged by a recently released inmate.

Investigators are in the process of reviewing visual automated equipment, gathering statements and conducting a thorough and sound investigation.

Preliminary investigation reveals Sheriffs Office employees have acted in a professional manner following standard operating procedures uncovering no misconduct.

However, investigators must complete several more investigative tasks before releasing a conclusive report. This report and any action taken could be forthcoming as soon as Friday afternoon.
