Sheriff Robert Arnold recently announced his endorsement of Phil Griffin for County Commissioner of the 7th District.
“I’ve had the opportunity to have in depth conversations with Mr. Griffin regarding various issues facing the Sheriff’s Office and through these conversations I’ve learned that his vision on these issues matches mine. He is committed to ensuring our county employees are protected from benefit cuts, and he is committed to placing additional deputies throughout our county.”
“Phil is a fellow Republican and I’m confident he will be a strong voice on the Commission for fiscal sanity and public safety. Experience, leadership, conservative values and dedication to public safety are qualities needed in our County Commissioners. Phil Griffin is the right guy for the job.”
“I could not be more proud to receive this endorsement at this important moment in the campaign,” said Griffin. “Rutherford County Republicans respect and admire Sheriff Arnold. It is an honor and privilege to have him behind me in this campaign.”
Griffin is supported by former Rutherford County Republican Party Chairmen Jimmy Evans, Dr. Nate Schott and Howard Wall. He has received endorsements from Commissioner Jack Black, Circuit Court Clerk Laura Bohling, Highway Commissioner Keith Bratcher, Chris Day, Murfreesboro Firefighters Association President Mark McCluskey, Rick Peppers and Rutherford County School Board member Coy Young.
“The support we’ve received has been humbling and overwhelming” Griffin said. “I’m honored to have such a remarkable team in place and I am looking forward to their continued support and guidance as we continuing sharing our message of strong, conservative leadership throughout the 7th District.”
