MTSU’s Office of Leadership and Service needs help to build the second Habitat Blitz Build home for a Rutherford County resident.
“It is our hope that we can raise $30,000 by next fall to begin building our next home,” said Jacqueline I. Victory, director of the Leadership and Service office.
In the fall of 2007, more than 300 MTSU student volunteers came together and built the first Habitat home for a Rutherford County resident.
MTSU’s Habitat Blitz Build fundraising campaign will kick off with the See Spot Run 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, April 5, where runners are encouraged to bring their dogs.
The entry fee is $20 before March 27th and $25 after. Group rates are offered for student organizations and faculty. A group will be 10 or more entries at $15 per entry. The entry fee includes a t-shirt to the first 200 participants and awards to the top age group finishers. The course is both flat and fast. Registration is available at frank.mtsu.edu/~mtleader/service/events.htm or www.active.com. For more information, please contact the Office of Leadership & Service at 615-898-5812. |
