Holiday events hit Hammerhead in a blitz(en)
Don’t you love/dread the holidays?

Wondering why we don’t produce more of our food
Thanksgiving remains one of the most distinctively American holidays. That’s not to say that just about every culture and every nation has some sort of day of thanks, but few of them celebrate the way we do by overeating, watching football and then going shopping.

H-haid's corner: Headed to Triune
Howdy, it’s an especially beautiful Saturday. If ol’ Hammerhead can beg out of most of his honey-do list, he’s headed out this AM to the bob-in burg of Triune.

'H'haid's Corner: Lynyrd Skynyrd'
Despite all the hustle and bustle of an MTSU football weekend, ol’ Hammerhead paused in tribute to the fallen Southern Rock warriors of Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was 30 years ago today their plane crashed near McComb, Miss.

H-haid's Corner: Big weekend?
Happy Saturday. Hope you are following in Hammerhead’s footsteps and not laboring in honor of the Labor Day holiday.

H-haid's Corner: Mechanicsville
Happy Saturday ... it ain’t too happy cause Hammerhead’s having to work a bit. It’s interesting to note that some of Rutherford County’s rural communities are making a comeback. Places like Rockvale and Stewartsboro are growing like crazy, but other bygone communities have completely slipped off the map.

Drought has Hammerhead not missing his Jeep
After pondering the sad state of his lawn this week, Hammerhead found himself thinking about that big drought back in ... durn, it had to be around 1980.

H-haid's Corner: Hobos
W-w-w-w-whale, it’s Saturday again and Betty Lou’s threatening to bash Hammerhaid’s computer unless I tote a bunch of heavy boxes up into the attic. Such abuse has got me hankering to hit the road and live the life of a hobo .... but only if the big screen and Lazy-Boy along for the ride. Might have trouble fitting them in my bindle. (That’s that little bundle, hobo’s carried over their shoulders at the end of a stick.)
