Scott Brigham Vogt, age 54, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. A native of Douglas, GA he was preceded in death by his father, Jacques Brigham Vogt and his sister, Gina Vogt.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Vogt is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Mitchell Vogt; children, Lindsay Vogt, Hannah Vogt, Ethan Vogt, and Michael Vogt all of Murfreesboro; mother, Beverly Arnold and her husband H. of Albany, GA; step-mother, Sybil Vogt of Winter Haven, FL; sisters, Tammy Hamilton of Tallahassee, FL and Lisa Vogt; brother, David Vogt; aunt, Jo Gomez and her husband Dr. Robert of Athens, GA; uncle, Liston Matthews of Knoxville, TN and niece, Sarah Vogt of Phoenix, AZ.
Mr. Vogt was a member of World Outreach Church. He was a Facility Manager with AmSurg Corp (ASC). Mr. Vogt was an avid Florida State Football fan, loved anything on the water including fishing and boating; shared a passion for history; enjoyed reading and spending time with his son in the Boy Scouts Troop 320 in Rockvale. Mr. Vogt was known for his wonderful sense of humor; he was a man who never met a stranger! He was a very loving and dedicated husband and father.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, or a college account has been set up to further his boys education at Capital Bank, located 164 Cason Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37128 in memory of Mr. Vogt.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM and Saturday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM all at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
