Last year’s S.A.V.E. The Night 5K Fun Run was a huge success! I was able to attend with some friends. It is a great teen-led charity, and the money is going toward something most of us tend to forget about or overlook. The pre-registration fee is a way to save a little money, but it doesn’t hurt to pay the extra amount because the funds are going to a really good cause and S.A.V.E. could use whatever they can possibly get to reach their goal this year! I enjoy running long distance so I attend races like this often. On the other hand, a lot of people, including my closest friends, hate running. There is much more to running the 5K than just getting exercise. This race is a great way to get out and participate in events in the community. I met a lot of great people last year that I still keep in touch with today. The race isn’t a ridiculously hard course, so in other words, it’s not too strenuous for someone with not so great athletic ability to complete. To top it off, there will be a super-hero costume contest and door prizes! Everyone should participate and help S.A.V.E. reach their goal.
