Sarah Louise Helton Johnson, age 83, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, June 1, 2012. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Wayne and Hattie Mae Lovvorn Helton.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 12noon Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Dr. Dean Sisk will officiate. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda F. Johnson of Murfreesboro, brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Joyce Helton of Murfreesboro, sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Billy O'Brien of Lexington, TN, nephew, Steve Helton of Knoxville, niece, Karen Wilkins of Jackson, TN.
Mrs. Johnson was an active member of Belle Aire Baptist Church, the local Jail Ministry, and the Homeless Task Force. She was retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Financial Institutions as Assistant Commissioner.
