The Sam Davis Home Quilt Show will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 15-17 and from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept 18 for its annual Quilt Show. Pre-sale tickets are $6, or $8 at the door. Tickets to the Quilt Show are for one-day attendance only.
This year, the Quilt Show will also feature fiber and needle arts.
Included in the show’s exhibits is the quilt display from the Carter House Collection in Franklin. The quilt collection is on loan from The Battle of Franklin Trust and has never before been on public view.
A Certified Quilt Appraiser will be on site and available to examine quilts, but be sure to call and schedule an appointment early, as her appointments fill up quickly.
Among the quilt exhibits will also be a Civil War Era band, vendors, catered lunches by Breaking Bread, and more.
Space is still available to enter a quilt and to attend the Quilt Show as a White Glove Volunteer. Visitors interested in seeing the backside of a quilt will be assisted by a White Glove Volunteer. These volunteers are the only people allowed to touch and move the quilts for better viewing.
Tours of the Sam Davis Home and Museum will not be available during set up of the event and during the Quilt Show due to the nature of the exhibits.
