Salsarita’s to holds June 20 fundraiser for Salvation Army

Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina in the Shoppes at Gateway Corner will be holding a fundraiser for The Salvation Army of Rutherford County on Monday, June 20.
Ten percent of Salsarita’s sales for the day will go to The Salvation Army. The restaurant, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., is located at 1970 Medical Center Parkway near Thompson Lane.
Patrons also will have the opportunity to bring items for The Salvation Army’s back-to-school drive, which is getting under way, said Betsy Taylor, a Salvation Army volunteer board member. A container will be available to collect the items.
Salsarita’s has 11 locations in Tennessee, including two in Chattanooga, four in Knoxville, Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, Oak Ridge, Pigeon Forge and Kingsport. The Murfreesboro restaurant’s phone number is 615-890-8180.
The Salvation Army, a partner agency with the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon counties and a new member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, is located at 1137 W. Main St., just off New Salem Highway and one block from Old Fort Parkway.
Among the services the Salvation Army of Rutherford County can provide is assistance for food, rent, clothing and transportation.
