Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro recently added three members to its board of directors.
David Jones, Deborah Thompson and George White joined the board in July.
David Jones, investor and developer, works in commercial and real estate investment, most recently in the long-term care industry. Prior to working in that field, Jones worked in the banking industry, serving as vice president of Nations Bank and Citizens Central Bank.
Jones has served on several local boards, including the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital Foundation board, the Saint Clair Senior Citizens board, the Rutherford County Adult Activities Center board and the Tennessee Vocational Training Centers board.
He is an MTSU graduate and attended Vanderbilt School of Banking for postgraduate studies.
Deborah Thompson serves as vice president at State Farm Insurance for the southeastern market. In this capacity, she is responsible for agents and agency field leadership in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama.
Thompson also serves on the board of United Way for Rutherford and Cannon Counties and the MTSU board of trustees. Thompson received a bachelor of arts from the College of William and Mary.
White, an attorney, serves as president at White & Polk P.C.
Currently, White serves as vice chairman for the Christy-Houston Foundation and treasurer for the Rutherford County Sportsman's Club.
Prior to those roles, he served on the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital board and foundation, Linebaugh Public Library board and the Stones River Country Club board.
White received a bachelor of art from the University of the South before successfully pursuing his law degree at Vanderbilt University.
