One of Rutherford County’s favorite summer events is ready to ride.

Saddle Up for Project Help is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Foundation Reception House, located at 324 W. Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. The house is owned by Middle Tennessee State University, which also runs Project Help.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Project Help, a center-based early intervention program located on the campus of MTSU.

For only $50 per ticket, guests can show off their favorite jeans, boots and cowboy hats, while they enjoy a Western-themed evening filled with barbecue and live music.

In addition, the event will feature Nashville artist Arthur Kirkby.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase one of his paintings in the silent auction, which will also offer opportunities to grab deals on spa packages, tickets to sporting events, family fun and date night outings, and local entertainment.

For information on sponsoring the event, contact Project Help Advisory Board co-chair Sandy Mitchell at sandym1626@hotmail.com or call 615-898-2458.
