Rutherford CABLE announces the winners of the 2010 Spirit of Leadership Award and the Rising Star Award. The winners of each award were nominated by RutherfordCABLE members.
Deborah Roberts, MTSU director of administrative services, is the recipient of the Spirit Leadership Award. Roberts was nominated for doing an excellent job leading the Program Committee. She organized monthly meetings and provided leadership to this committee.
“Deborah Roberts of MTSU and Angie Boyd-Chambers of MTMC exemplify the qualities of engaged, committed community leaders, with their vision, ability to engage others and hard work,” says Terri Sterling, president of RutherfordCABLE. “They are excellent choices, as nominated by our membership, to receive the inaugural RutherfordCABLE Spirit of Leadership and Rising Star Awards.”
Angie Boyd-Chambers, MTMC public relations director, is the recipient of the Rising Star Award. Boyd-Chambers was recognized for her energy and leadership through her willingness to assume responsibility for projects and activities of the organization.
RutherfordCABLE is a Rutherford County based organization with 110 members in its first year. The organization is a business networking organization for women in Rutherford County.
CABLE is Tennessee’s largest and most established network of diverse professionals committed to connecting women and opportunity.
