I think it is great that people are trying to raise money for Heart Disease. I fully support this walk because my grandmother died three years ago from a heart disease. She underwent open heart surgery and a few years after that her heart problems became worst, however she did live longer then the doctors expected her to which is a good thing.
Heart disases is one of the leading causes of deaths in the United States and I think its important to educate oursleves and others about it. Another reason why I stand by this walk is because about four or five years ago my dad had a stroke that did some serious damage to his right side and then right after that my granddad had a stoke as well.
I wish I could be apart of this walk and help raise money for heart disease because I think it would be good to learn something that I don't already know about heart diseases. Before reading this post, I didn't know that heart disease kills more people than any form of cancer. After reading that, it makes me want to walk and raise funds even more. Even though I'm not going to be able to walk, I do want to do something that deals with heart disease in the near future because this is a serious disease that people of all ages can or are living with.
