In remembrance of 9/11, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office presents the 9th annual Rutherford county Community Fair at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at 940 New Salem Highway.

Country music singer-songwriter Lane Turner will perform and help pay tribute to the Tennessee men and women that fight for freedom and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A remembrance ceremony will be held at 2 p.m.

The day will feature inflatables, petting zoo, face painting and family friendly games.

Local law enforcement and the military, as well as other first responders, will have equipment on display.

Admission and activities are free. Primary parking lot will be located at the Murfreesboro Auto Auction on Old Fort Parkway with a shuttle service provided by Rover.
