Ruth Sterling Prairie, age 84, of Beech Grove, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. A native of Mikelton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida Nitzki Quenzel.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Ms. Prairie is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife Patricia Prairie of Murfreesboro, Craig Prairie of Beech Grove, three grandchildren; Tara Prairie of New York, Amber Prairie, Laura Ewen both of Murfreesboro, and two great-grandchildren; Robert and William Ewen.
