The Avenue Murfreesboro will host the inaugural Run United 5K to be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 22 at The Avenue, located at 2615 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro.

The May 13 registration deadline is approaching and race organizers are confident that the event will reach capacity.

The race is limited to the first 200 registrants or the registration deadline – whichever occurs first. There will be no race day registration available.

Participants may walk, jog, or run the race course, which will be throughout The Avenue property. Registration is available at www.active.com. The race will be timed using a bib chip system through Rabbit Road Racing Solutions.

The top three overall male and female participants will be awarded, and there will be a male and female winner in each age division.

The $25 entry fee will include an event T-shirt, a coupon book with exclusive discounts to The Avenue and the opportunity to win door prizes from participating Avenue retailers.

Event partners include Mid South Mobile DJ, Rabbit Road Racing Solutions, Newk’s Express Café, Mimi’s Café, Massage Envy, Screen Art, The Daily News Journal, The Murfreesboro Post and Murfreesboro Magazine.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.
