Ronald Anthony Bryan was born in Cannon County, Tenn., on August 16, 1940, and passed away Dec. 24, 2012, at the age of 72.

He was the son of the late Erskin and Gladys Stephens Bryan, and he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Bryan.

He is survived by his wife, Wendyl Morris Bryan, of Rogersville. The couple would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on Jan. 19, 2013.

Mr. Bryan is also survived by his three children Gary Bryan, of Rogersville, Ronnie (Janet) Bryan, of Rogersville, and Stephanie Bryan, of Morristown; grandchildren Tyler, Tayler and Landon Bryan; brother Hayden (Marie) Bryan, of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Brother David Morris officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Gardens. Visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 27, 2012.

A member of the Church of Christ and the Auburn High Class of 1958, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years. He was a retail manager for Wal-Mart, Lays and Kuhn’s retail stores.

Mr. Bryan was an avid gardener and UT football fan. He loved to raise his chickens, loved to eat, never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.
