Robin David Young, age 47, of Murfreesboro, passed away on September 13, 2012. He was a native of Rutherford County.

Robin was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church where he served as song leader for many years. He loved singing God’s praises and was formerly a member of “Faithfully His” gospel group. He was retired from Stones River electric.

Robin was preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn Marie Young; grandparents, Joe and May Young and Brainard and Mendia Hall. He is survived by his wife, Kim Hicks Young of Murfreesboro, father, Bobby R. Young of Murfreesboro; daughter, Lauren Young; brothers, Eddy (Tammy) Young of Murfreesboro and Tony (April) Ashley of Donelson, TN; nieces, Tabbatha Rector and Ava Ashley; nephews, E.J. Young, A.J. Ashley and Blake Ashley; great-niece, Keira Cool and great-nephew, Gage Cool.
 
A Church service will be held at 3:30 pm on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Ken Armstrong and Ken Elkins  officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Chase Pennycuff, Elmer Pennycuff, Jimmy Hickman, Charles Fish, Horace Young, and Brian Harber serving as active pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
