Robert E. "Bob" Blansett, age 82, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Health Center at Adams Place. He was a native of Smyrna, TN but lived most of his life in Milton, TN. He retired from the Sewart Air Force Base, worked with the Rutherford County Board of Education and was a farmer. He was a Veteran of WWII Air Force division.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Bogle Blansett, parents; Roy and Emma Blansett, brothers; Roy Jr. and Owen Blansett and sister, Elizabeth Hill. He is survived by his son, Eddie (Kathy) Blansett of Milton, sister, Florence Tucker and grandson, Bo Blansett.
A graveside service for Bob will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Milton Cemetery with Nathan Hale and Jason Barrett officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chad Huddleston, Chris Huddleston, Rob Vinson, Jim Vinson, Michael Youngblood, Wayne Barrett, Jeremy Barrett, Donald Garrett, Brad Garrett, and Tim Garrett with Ronnie and Brent Bogle acting as honorary pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
