Robbers make off with gun, wallets

Four robbers allegedly demanded “dope” and money at an alleged armed robbery Monday, June 28, at 415 Minerva Drive in Murfreesboro.

Nathan Hill informed officers he and three of his friends were at the residence when one of Hill’s friends, Matthew Coots, received a call from a male known as Alex who had reportedly been at the residence earlier.

Coots reportedly opened the back door when four armed men confronted him and the other occupants. Two men were armed with long guns that may have been AK47s and the others with handguns.

Coots reported the men took his tan, Polo wallet containing his driver’s license and a Pizza Hut gift card, Hill stated the men took a Glock .40 caliber handgun and his cell phone, William Buckley told officers his wallet, containing $35, multiple forms of identification and a debit card, was taken.

A glass water pipe and jar containing a controlled substance were seized.
