Robbers invaded two homes and took more than $1,200 worth of property in separate crimes Monday and early Tuesday, Murfreesboro Police reported.
Victim Joshua Carter of Kings Highway allowed a man into his home about 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Officer Jared Boisseau reported.
“The suspect pulled a small revolver from his pants and ordered everyone inside to the ground,” Boisseau reported.
He fled with $395 cash, an IPod shuffle, cigarettes and cellular telephone.
Witnesses identified the suspect by his nickname. He was described as a 19-year-old black man about 150 to 160 pounds. He wore a white shirt, blue jeans and red and black Nikes.
People with information may call Detective Paul Mongold at 893-2717.
In a second case, Officer David Miller reported victim Matthew Bain of Lillard Road was sitting on the couch about 3 a.m. Tuesday on East Main Street when three men entered the home.
They threw them on the floor and hit him, Miller reported.
The robbers took two cellular telephones, $300 cash and a MP3 player form Bain and a cellular telephone from Autumn Depriest, who was asleep but awakened by the robbers.
Police searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them.

Sounds like one victim allowed a stranger into his home and the other did not realize we live in a society and town where you have to keep your doors locked at all times now.
