The following road projects will affect traffic in Murfreesboro during the week beginning Jan. 5:

- Work begins this week to install a traffic signal at Manson Pike and Florence-Brinkley Road. Expect some minor traffic interruptions for the next two weeks.

- Through Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p .m., median work will be done for a new development on Northwest Broad Street near Sloan’s ATV. Expect partial lane closures in each direction. Weather permitting.

- Work continues on Rutherford Boulevard between Church and Broad streets. Expect no major lane closures. Some lane shifts are possible in late January near Broad Street.

- Work is still being done on Florence Road between Tricia Place and Adams Run. This part of the widening project should last one month.

Traffic is being detoured from Florence through Bubblebee Drive to Katydid Court to Honeybee Drive back onto Florence.

Traffic is also being detoured from Florence Road between Santana Street to Elijah Drive to Boyd Drive until the end of February.

- River Rock Boulevard is closed from State Route 99 to Stoney Meadow Drive. Through traffic is detoured from SR 99 onto Athens Avenue to Adonis Drive to Spartan Court to Pecan Ridge Drive to Centertree Drive and back onto River Rock.
