The following road projects will affect traffic in Murfreesboro during the week of Aug. 11-15:

- From 4 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Rutherford Boulevard will be closed from Church Street to Broad street for the installation of bridge beams and sewer drains across Rutherford.

- from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the south side of Alexander Drive at Dejarnette Lane will be closed for road work. The north side of Alexander will remain open.

- All next week, Sulfur Springs Road between Northfield Boulevard and Haynes Drive will be milled and repaved. Paving may begin by the end of the week, weather permitting.

- Through August, as part of Florence Road project, traffic is shifted to the west between Green Acres Lane and Morgan Taylor Drive.

Traffic will be detoured from Florence onto Chippendale and Tricia Place for two weeks, so the road can be cut down as part of a widening project.

- Rutherford Boulevard between Halls Hill Pike (Greenland Drive) and MTSU Boulevard has traffic shifted into the east-bound lanes for a resurfacing project.

- From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, crews perform landscaping work in the median of Medical Center Parkway from Interstate 24 to Thompson Lane. No lanes will be closed but there will be construction activities in the median.

Tennessee Department of Transportation projects:
- From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, the right shoulder in both directions will be closed to repair signs on I-24 at Exit 76

- From 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 through Wednesday Aug. 20, excluding weekends, one lane will be closed at various locations in Davidson, Smith, Rutherford, and Giles counties for guardrail repair and installation.

- 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 through Wednesday, Aug. 20, various shoulders will be closed in Middle Tennessee on state routes for guardrail repair and installation.

- From 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16, lane closure on I-40 West in Wilson County at log mile 239.4 to 240.2. This will be due to the Wilson County Fair.

Nashville road projects: 

- From 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, there will be two lanes of I-65 northbound closed on the Wedgewood Avenue Bridge in order to make bridge repairs. One lane will remain open.

- From 6 p.m. Friday Aug. 15 through 6 a.m. Monday Aug. 18, the inside lane of both I-40 East (6 PM) and I-40 West (7 PM) will be closed to construct sign footing in the median of I-40. Two lanes will remain open in each direction at all times.
