Road Project Update: June 8-12

The following road projects will affect traffic in Murfreesboro during the week beginning June 8: Road conditions are shown every hour on Channel 3.

- The nightmare on Broad Street continues with a lane shift starting Saturday morning. At 9 a.m. Saturday, TDOT crews will shift all traffic to the west, close the east side from Vine Street to Lytle Street and begin the final phase of the bridge replacement project. Two lanes will be open in each direction with a center turn lane. No left turns will be allowed from Broad to Main or Main to Broad. The intersection remains right in and right out only.

- River Rock Boulevard will be topped and striped Monday and Tuesday. The intersection of River Rock and Hoghway 99 will be open to all traffic Wednesday, weather permitting, and the new traffic signal will flash for one week. The light will be fully functional Wednesday, June 17.

- The new signal for the eastbound ramp at I-24 and Franklin Road (SR 96) will be set to flash on Monday. The light will be fully operational Monday, June 15.

- Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department (MWSD) continues with reconstruction of a sewer main under Vine Street. Crews are working between Maney and Highland this week from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.. During the day, Vine Street is closed to all but local traffic. Through traffic, traveling for the east and west will be detoured to Main and Sevier streets. Local residents will have access to homes at all times.

- Florence Road between Honeybee and Santana is open again. Crews will now begin working on Florence from Manson Pike to I-24. There are currently no closures.
