The following road projects will affect traffic in Murfreesboro during the week beginning July 6:
Road conditions are shown every hour on Channel 3.
- The City of Murfreesboro is repairing Greenland Drive from the Discovery School at Reeves-Rogers to Shawnee Drive.
Expect delays as the three-lane road will be reduced to one lane with flagmen controlling traffic flow. Motorists are urged to find alternate routes, but local traffic will be allowed at all times.
The project will take at least two months, but the city hopes to have the part in front of Reeves-Rodgers finished before school starts and the project completed before MTSU returns in August.
- TDOT will begin paving State Route 41 (Broad Street/Manchester Highway) from Rutherford Boulevard to Epps Mill Road starting at 9 a.m. Monday.
Work will be performed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. The project will take at least two weeks, weather permitting.
- TDOT crews have shifted all traffic to the west on Broad Street, close the east side from Vine Street to Lytle Street and begin the final phase of the bridge replacement project.
Two lanes will be open in each direction with a center turn lane. No left turns will be allowed from Broad to Main or Main to Broad. The intersection remains right in and right out only.
- Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department (MWSD) continues with reconstruction of a sewer main under Vine Street. Crews are working between University and Bilbro this week from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
During the day, Vine Street is closed to all but local traffic. Through traffic, traveling for the east and west will be detoured to Main and Sevier streets. Local residents will have access to homes at all times.
- Crews are now working on Florence Road from Manson Pike to I-24. There are currently no closures. |
