The following road projects will affect traffic in Murfreesboro during the week beginning Feb. 7:
- Northwest Broad Street will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between Memorial Boulevard and Vine Street beginning Thursday morning as part of a TDOT bridge replacement project. Weather permitting.
The center turn lane and two adjacent lanes will be closed to traffic and left turns will be prohibited in the construction area.
A temporary signal will be placed at the Vine and Broad streets intersection to help motorists enter the downtown area.
Message boards will be placed around town to direct motorists around the construction. There will be no detour routes.
- From 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday, Northwest Broad Street will see temporary lane closures related to the bridge replacement project. Crews will perform signal work and place barrels and barricades.
- Lytle Street, next to Homer Pittard Campus School will be closed for 3-4 hours beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
A crane will be placed in the roadway to facilitate repairing the roof of the school.
- Work continues on Rutherford Boulevard between Church and Broad streets.
- Work is still being done on Florence Road between Tricia Place and Adams Run. This
- River Rock Boulevard is closed from State Route 99 to Stoney Meadow Drive. Through traffic is detoured from SR 99 onto Athens Avenue to Adonis Drive to Spartan Court to Pecan Ridge Drive to Centertree Drive and back onto River Rock.
