Riverdale High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team 2012-2013 Season

The Riverdale girls broke or tied three records while soundly defeating the Brentwood Bruins, 83-37, in the first round of the TSSAA Blue Cross State Girls Basketball Tournament on Wednesday morning.

The Lady Warriors broke the record for steals in one game with 22 and also broke the record of 3-pointers made in a game with 12 while tying the one game record for assists with 24.

Riverdale ran their record to 33-0 with the win and will now take on the Memphis Central Warriors at 10 o'clock Friday morning.

Scoring: Tiffany Lewis had 23 points with five steals, Olivia Jones had 20 with five steals and eight rebounds, Alexa Middleton had 13 with five steals, Tyisha Petty had 10 points, Shelby Davenport, Shanique Heard and Brandy Alley had four points each. Madison Compton had three points and Mattie Cantrell had two to round out the scoring.
