River Oaks plans life-altering Christmas Eve



With unemployment at 9.3 percent in Rutherford County and a struggling national and local economy there is no shortage of needs in Murfreesboro. Add the pressures of layoffs by local employers to the expectations of Christmas, and you have numerous families in need of even the basics.

Taking it to the community and serving others is what River Oaks Community Church in Murfreesboro is all about.Along with traditional and contemporary Christmas music, interpretive dance, video, and other creative elements, River Oaks Christmas Eve service will culminate in a life-altering surprise gift for a local family.

The service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Blackman High School auditorium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It is open to all faiths, denominations, and ages. Anyone interested is encouraged to come as you are.
