Ricky Joe Alexander, 53, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his home in La Vergne, Tenn.

A native of Rutherford County, Alexander was retired from Pepsi Cola as a special events coordinator. He was a member of the Baptist church and the Hardee's Coffee Club.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Alexander Jackson.

Alexander is survived by his father, Joe Alexander and his wife, Patricia Woodruff Alexander, both of La Vergne. He is also survived by a sister, Jana Smith, of Smyrna; niece Joanna Wilkes, of Smyrna; three step-sons, Shannon Hipp and Joseph Hipp, both of La Vergne, and Scotty Hipp of Huntsville, Ala; two granddaughters, Dominique and Crimson, and one grandson, Louise; and one great-granddaughter, Arabella.

In addition, he is survived by his aunt and uncle, Faye and Willis Hall Knox, of Readyville; cousins Joe and Norma Knox and Terry Gannon.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Riverside Gardens. Brother Charlie Wright will officiate.
