Guests at Saddle Up for Project Help will sample some local flavor when they experience the music of Rhythm Kitchen.

Patrons of the local club scene are already in love with their tasty, bluesy vibe; it’s easy to understand why the group is keeping the road hot.

Rhythm Kitchen members explain their sound:  "Rhythm Kitchen's blend of Tennessee blues and soul sells so fast, people wonder what they put in it. You start out with a pound of Jake Winebrenner's fatback drums, straight from Christiana. Throw in half a pint of boiling Rutherford County guitar from Joey Fletcher. Add half a teacup of Woodbury style Wurlitzer and a pinch of singing from Heather Moulder. Top it off with a slice of Skylar Gregg's fresh Lebanon vocals and you've got yourself a stew with a flavor you won't forget."

Band leader Skylar Gregg is enthusiastic about performing at Project Help’s annual fundraiser.  “Rhythm Kitchen is proud to be playing music for such a great cause.  We want to thank Project Help for almost three decades of community service and for allowing us to be a part of Saddle Up,” she said.  After playing at Saddle Up for Project Help, Rhythm Kitchen will entertain at the upcoming Taste of Murfreesboro event and at Nashville’s popular Mercy Lounge.

To hear clips of the band’s music, visit the Saddle Up for Project Help Facebook page, or the band’s website.

Saddle Up for Project Help will be Thursday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m., at MTSU’s Foundation Reception House, located at 324 West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Project Help, Rutherford County’s only center-based early intervention program.  For only $50 per ticket, guests can show off their favorite jeans, boots and cowboy hats while they enjoy a Western-themed evening filled with barbecue and great live music.
