Law enforcement officials confirmed Friday that Rhodes Construction Company in Murfreesboro was raided Jan. 12 because of an investigation into an alleged illegal gambling operation.

The searches resulted in the confiscation of more than $180,000 in alleged illegal gambling proceeds, a felony amount of drugs and multiple weapons from several individuals, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department press release.

“No arrests have been made at this time,” Evans said.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation assisted with the raid when the Murfreesboro Police Department Vice Section served a search warrant at the business, which is owned by Tony Rhodes of Murfreesboro.

The Criminal Investigation Division has been conducting a long-term investigation into allegations of illegal activities for quite some time, Evans said.

“As in many criminal investigations, any arrest would follow the issuance of an indictment from a grand jury,” Evans said. “This case is still an active and ongoing criminal investigation and will be presented to a grand jury in the future.”

I heard there was a preacher with a gun and a whole lot of "respectable" people involved gambling in this raid, that's why it's sealed.

So let me get this straight. The police found $180,000 in cash, a felony amount of drugs, multiple weapons on several individuals and no arrests were made???? I am sure I would be under the jail if I had a pocket knife, $20 in cash, and a bottle of my own prescription medicine. I don't know why the police can't understand why people don't trust them anymore.
