One resident suffered minor injuries when a car crashed into her home Monday afternoon near downtown Murfreesboro, police reported.

Resident Ebra Sanford, 50, of Academy Street was treated by paramedics and taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Officer Drew Darnall reported.

Driver Stacey N. Hendricks, 25, of Faithway Drive was driving a Ford Thunderbird when she apparently blacked out, the officer reported. She ran the stop sign at Jackson and Academy streets before crashing into two apartments at the house.

Hendricks stated “she has seizures and did not take her medication as she has been instructed,” Darnall reported. She didn’t remember anything about the crash. She was not injured.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, the officer reported.

Darnall listed Hendricks’ failure to stop at the stop sign and to take the medication as contributing factors in the crash.

It's horrible my Mom was killed in an accident 3 years ago by a lady who had a seizure and she was not even supposed to be driving. She lied on her license exam, and said she had no history of seizures. People can be very irresponsible!!! It's not any different than driving under the influence in my opinion!!!
