The Goodwill store on South Lowry Street in Smyrna will reopen this month, and company officials are inviting the public to come celebrate the occasion on Thursday, June 27.

The store closed late last year for a massive renovation project.

The space, which used to be two stories, is now all on one level and is 50 percent bigger. The new store features a furniture section and a shoe department. There is also a covered drive-thru for donations on the side of the store.

A ribbon cutting will take place at 8:45 a.m., and doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. The grand reopening celebration will continue throughout the weekend with Goodwill gift card giveaways.

On the jobs front, the Goodwill Career Solutions Center in Antioch will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on that same day for MasterStaff Inc.

The company is looking to fill more than 50 positions in Rutherford County. Openings include pickers, packers, assembly workers and forklift drivers.

A representative from MasterStaff will be on site and interviews are possible, so dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring resumes, photo ID, Social Security card or birth certificate.

The Career Solutions Center is located at 3538 Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch.
