Local and regional craft and food vendors are invited to participate in The Salvation Army’s fourth annual Red Kettle Craft Fair, representatives for the craft fair said.
The deadline to register will be Thursday, Sept. 1, said Katie Peachey, chair of the 19-member volunteer board for The Salvation Army and a craft fair committee member. She added that registrations postmarked Sept. 1 would be accepted. The fair will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the corps’ facility, 1137 W. Main St.
By mid-August, more than 40 vendors had registered, and Peachey said all space inside the gymnasium of the facility was taken.
Red Kettle Craft Fair officials said they are looking for “mostly unique crafters.” Front outdoor booth rental space requires a $35 nonrefundable fee. Outdoor food vendor space fees are $70. Tables and chairs can be rented for a small fee while they last.
The event is free and so is parking. The Salvation Army is located at the corner of West Main Street and Hwy. 99 (New Salem Highway), one block from Old Fort Parkway. All proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army’s many ministries. To register or for more information, e-mail RedKettleCraftFair@gmail.com, or visit facebook.com/redkettlecraftfair. |
